Recipe Help
- → Can I substitute turkey with another protein?
Yes, chicken breast or rotisserie chicken work well and provide similar texture and flavor balance.
- → What cheeses complement the pesto and cranberry flavors?
Provolone, mozzarella, Swiss, cheddar, or gouda add creamy texture and meld nicely with the sandwich’s vibrant spreads.
- → Is it better to use store-bought or homemade pesto?
Both work well; homemade pesto offers a fresher flavor, but store-bought is convenient and flavorful.
- → What type of bread is ideal for this melt?
Sourdough is preferred for its sturdy crust and slight tang, but whole wheat or multigrain are great alternatives.
- → How should I cook the sandwich for best results?
Grill in a skillet over medium heat for 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden and cheese is melted, pressing gently.
