Pesto Cranberry Turkey Melt (Printable)

# What You’ll Need:

→ Bread & Spreads

01 - 4 slices sourdough bread
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons basil pesto, store-bought or homemade
04 - 2 tablespoons cranberry sauce, whole berry or jellied

→ Filling

05 - 150 grams (5 ounces) cooked turkey breast, thinly sliced
06 - 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

# How-To:

01 - Lay out bread slices and spread butter on one side of each. Flip slices; spread pesto on two and cranberry sauce on the other two on the unbuttered sides.
02 - On pesto-spread slices, layer cheese, turkey, then another slice of cheese. Top each with a cranberry-spread slice, buttered side facing outward.
03 - Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat until hot.
04 - Place sandwiches in skillet and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, pressing gently, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
05 - Remove sandwiches, allow to cool slightly, slice in half, and serve warm.
